Plain terms for a simple tool.

What Read PR does

Read PR measures per-file reading time on pull requests and records who has read what. It posts a status check and comments on your pull requests. It does not read, modify, or merge your source code. See the security page for exactly what it accesses.

Your account

• — You sign in with GitHub. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• — You must have authority to install the GitHub App on any organization or repository you connect.
• — You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• — Reverse engineer, probe, or attack the service or its infrastructure.
• — Use Read PR to surveil individuals beyond measuring code review, or in violation of your local employment or privacy law.
• — Resell, sublicense, or rebrand the service without a written agreement.
• — Interfere with other workspaces or exceed documented rate limits.

Billing

• — Public repositories are always free. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually by active reader band through Stripe.
• — Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Plan changes take effect on the next cycle.
• — Cancel any time from the dashboard. Access continues until the end of the paid period. See pricing.

Your data

You keep all rights to your data. We store only what is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You grant us the limited right to process that data to run the service.

The open source extension

The browser extension is released under its published open source license. These terms cover the hosted service. The license covers your use of the extension source.

Availability and warranty

We work to keep Read PR available and correct, but the service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Reading data is a signal, not a legal attestation.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Read PR is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

• — You can stop at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and canceling your plan. We suspend the workspace and stop ingesting webhooks immediately.
• — We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms, with notice where practical.
• — Data deletion follows the retention and deletion terms in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date, and for significant changes we will notify active workspaces by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
